A Childhood Passion Ignited

I was born in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in neighboring suburbs as well as in Philadelphia, spending years of my youth at Girard College, a private boarding school located in North Philadelphia.  My artistic journey began in childhood, fueled by vibrant coloring books and captivating book illustrations, both gifted and read to me by my mother. My earliest recollection of creating artwork, was in preschool, painting alongside my best friend.  This early exposure sparked a lifelong love for creating art. Throughout elementary school, my artistic talents flourished, earning high honors awards in art classes. My mother consistently nurtured this passion, encouraging me with art supplies as birthday and holiday gifts.

Early Recognition and Growth

Middle school proved pivotal. I once had the privilege of attending a children's summer course at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. I won a school-wide art competition, designing a T-shirt worn by all participants in my middle school's three day "Outdoor School" camping program. In high school, my senior year focus was Art.  I continued to excel in art classes, becoming acquainted with new arts such as jewelry making and photography.  I graduated from Norristown Area High School.

College broadened my perspective. Beyond being exposed to unfamiliar drawing and graphic design techniques, I also explored art history, delving into the underrepresentation of women artists in a compelling research paper during an Art History Honors course.

A Budding Artistic Career

Today, I'm an artist working within my local community. My dedication has garnered media coverage once, a budding art studio for a period of time, and showcases in a couple businesses and various exhibits. I've found a niche in fine art, securing dozens of commissions and establishing two licensed vending locations that I operated for a year.

The Journey Continues

With a passion for creating meaningful art and a desire to help, I am currently a Graphic Designer working with local non profits including Black Girls Love Math and Art Sphere Inc.  I'm excited to continuously learn and contribute meaningfully to the artistic world while engaging in my community, improving and broadening my skillset, visiting various museums, and exploring nature.

Let's work together!
